Getting Ready for Tax Season

March 02, 2026

As tax season approaches, a little early organization may help things feel more manageable. This time of year often brings a steady flow of paperwork, deadlines, and decisions, so this message is simply a supportive reminder to help you gather what you may need.

A good first step is collecting the documents relevant to your return. Many people track down items such as W-2s, 1099s, donation receipts, and statements related to investment activity. The IRS provides a comprehensive list of forms and instructions on its website for direct reference.1

If you’re missing older records or need to look back at previous filings, the IRS also provides transcripts you can view online or request by mail. These transcripts may help you confirm prior-year AGI, payment history, or other details needed during filing.2

It may also be a good moment to review contributions you made to certain accounts, charitable giving records, or any other financial choices that relate to your broader tax picture. If you have questions about documentation from our office, such as statements related to your investment accounts, please don't hesitate to reach out. I’m always happy to assist you in accessing the materials we have on file for you.

As tax rules shift from year to year, you may also want to consult a qualified tax professional for guidance tailored to your situation. My role is to support you with general reminders, your investment-related documents, and to keep you aware of any changes that may impact your long-term financial strategy.

At Riggle Wealth Group, we take a research-based approach to planning, helping individuals, families, and business owners make confident, informed decisions. Whether you want a second opinion or simply a conversation about what has changed in your life, we are here to help.

If you know a friend, family member, or business colleague who could benefit from clarity and guidance this tax season, we would be honored to serve them as well. Referrals are one of the greatest compliments we receive.

Schedule your financial check-in today and move forward with confidence. Call the office at 717-630-1001 or email me directly at drewriggle@rigglewealth.com.
